Election 2024: So Now What? Time to Choose Love over Fear

As I have been saying for a while now, this is not a drill.
I used to be afraid of fear. That’s now history. I invite you to join me here now.
I spent the day after the election sitting with a swirl of uncomfortable emotions alternating between grief, sadness, anger, and fear, aware of it all actually being held in a larger field of happiness for simply being alive and feeling. And I allowed these feelings to freely flow through me so I can quickly get back to center, back to what I am here for, to serve in our awakening.
I had communicated with several friends and clients who felt similar feelings along with despair, hopelessness, anxiousness. As I reflected on what was happening with us, this came to me loud and clear:
Don’t confuse collective karma with individual karma. Don’t use what happens with collective karma to deny your own divinity from flowing through your personal karma, through your incarnation. In other words, our safety lies in Source as what we are (God, Guru, Self, Love, Atman, Buddha Nature, Thelma, or any name you want to give It), flowing through us and not in the results of any election.
Cutting to the chase of this statement: if you see something fearful going on outside and you use it to justify cutting yourself off from the Source of your own power, you are weakening the very magnetic field whose strength naturally protects you. If you think that something outside of yourself is the source of your safety, you have then cut yourself off from your true Source, and the result is more “othering” and more fear.
Don’t throw out the spiritual baby with the worldly bathwater
Don't let the larger, often chaotic forces of collective karma—society's choices, global events, or political outcomes—diminish your awareness of the divinity within you. While collective karma reflects shared consequences and the collective trajectory of humanity, individual karma is the path each soul walks in its unique, personal alignment with Source. So, even as we witness external shifts or disturbing events, it’s crucial not to discard or overlook our inner connection with the divine essence, which remains unshaken by these outward circumstances.
In practical terms, this suggests that we want to maintain our spiritual practice, inner peace, and awareness of our true self (the "baby") while navigating through the worldly “bathwater" of collective issues, such as politics, societal trends, or global challenges. Letting go of our spiritual grounding or divine connection because of disappointment or turmoil in the world hurts us and also deprives the world of the Light that you are. Instead, we’re called to engage with the world mindfully, without losing touch with the sacred flow within us.
Be Here Now. Cut off any future tripping your mind does.
Your point of power is always and only here and now in the present. So anytime you allow your mind to time travel into the past or future, you are weakening your power and allowing the mind to create fictions that can create fear. When you are anywhere outside of here and now in your awareness you are weakening your ability to hear what the next right action is for you to take. Even if you need to make plans to carry out in the future, you will know when and how best to do that only from a place of present presence and centeredness and not in the past or future.
Be intentional with how you use your mind else the momentum of mind patterns will use you. I keep a list of mantras ready to use so that when I see the mind going into future tripping, I gently and firmly bring it back and I give it one of these mantra pacifiers to stay focused on.
Understanding how fear operates empowers you
Authoritarianism operates by doing what it can to cause people to block their own Light. It is an extreme expression of separation. It uses fear in people so it can feed off of it. It has no other inherent energy source so it is a parasitic energy pattern. It parasites off of our own consciousness. It is also an expression and projection of that part of the collective that is resistant to the Light.
Authoritarianism is fueled only by fear. We just experienced a big wave of fear. There will be more.
Use it as fuel for awakening.
In order to pull the plug feeding fear, it is empowering to understand how fear operates.
Fear has no capability to take power. Fear is inherently weak. It can only convince you to give your power to it. It then makes it feel as if it took your power which gives it the illusion that it is more powerful than it actually is, more powerful than you. The other thing it does is it cloaks itself in a secondary layer of fear that says “be afraid to look at fear.”
Fear is inherently weak because it has no coherence nor alignment with Source, the Master Super-Conductor. Hence fear creations always contain the seeds of its own destruction. It’s just a matter of time.
Have no fear. Have none of it. We ARE the Light. OWN THAT WHICH YOU ARE.
There is no actual entity called “darkness”. It is merely disowned parts of ourselves (individually and collectively) that our minds have judged unlovable. (Don’t believe everything the mind thinks!) It is this judgment that denies Light to that which it deems unworthy. Welcome this fragment back home to you and it becomes the Light that you are, and you are now experiencing more wholeness.
If you are the Light and you now directly shine that which you are squarely into this thing we call darkness, what happens to what we called darkness? Is there a separate light switch to turn down the darkness and another one to turn up the light? Of course not! There is no entity called darkness. It is merely the absence of light. We are good at scaring ourselves. We did it as kids and we do it as adults.
So the starting place is to choose Love, take your stand in your Power, The I AM that you are. This IS you, the Source, through which Light emanates into this world. You are this portal. Then, feel whatever fear is in you, drop the thinking about it and FEEL it in your body. Breathe. Don’t leave Home, your Center, to go into the fear. This happens by getting caught in the mind about it. Instead, stay in your body, feel yourself breathing fully, notice where in your body you feel the fear, and invite these feelings to come back to you, into your Light, embrace it in Light, in Love. Feel what is here to feel, including the deep peace of Presence that is available to you. Don’t try to change or push away any feeling. Be with it and watch it transform.
All you need to be here is YOU, as fully as you as possible. See it all, embrace it all, envelope it all in Love.
(Just for the record, Love is not like. (Good thing Neem Karoli Baba said love everyone because there are some people you just can’t like!) Love is not the neurotic Disney love that keeps therapists in business. Love is the reverence for Creation, for the one Life that we are, the well-wishing for the good of all, the ground of compassion, the desire for healing and remembrance of our true nature for all - without exception.)
This is exactly how you take back and own your power. And as you do, you have no idea of how much Light can run through your circuitry. Aligning with Source, that which you truly are = increased energy = increased magnetism of the good = safety. We are undeniably the source of our own safety by virtue of this.
Look at fear exactly as it appears and claim I AM is the only Presence and Power there is and this I AM! (geez, I sound like some preacher! ☺️)
Have no fear and REMEMBER WHAT YOU ARE. We ARE the Light. And in this is our unity and our safety. This Light is coherent so as we align with it within ourselves we simultaneously are One with all the rest of us who are resonating at a harmonic multiple of the One Om 🕉. The collective resonance of this is INFINITE Power.
So what to do with these so-called leaders?
We intentionally beam our Light to them all. We intentionally act from this place of Light rather than from a place of fear.
This is especially true now of these politicians and all their associates. When you think about any authoritarians such as Hitler, Putin, Xi Jinping, Kim Jung Un, Netanyahu, and most certainly Vance, Bannon, Musk, and Trump (and those people he draws to himself), we are talking about highly traumatized individuals. They feel deeply unsafe and this is the source of their insatiable lust for power. They ignorantly believe that if they have enough ego power then they will be safe. When has that actually worked? Never. (I will leave the discussion about the effects of trauma for another time.)
Hurt people hurt people, period. If it is indeed true that we are actually all connected (which my direct experience shows me is true) then what we think of another affects them.
Given that, choose to send love to these individuals to increase their vibration. I don’t have to like them or their actions, just choose to beam love. The alternative is to send fear in any of its forms and then we are contributing to the collective fear and the harm that it causes — not the kind of karma I choose to accumulate. I want healing for everyone for the obvious reasons that the more they heal the less damage they will cause, and also because we are all connected. In that sense, there are no “others.” We is them. Them is us. This is us folks.
Everything is either an expression of love or a call for love. In either case, there is only one true response - love. This perspective can transform how we see the world. If you feel fear in you, send it love. If you see fearful actions in others, send them love. Know what you stand for, why you are here right now, and where you take your stand.
I have been using this time as the empowerment that it is intended for — a time to accelerate our inner wakefulness and power — and I have to say, it is working beautifully. I feel a higher wattage of Light operating through me than ever. There is no upper limit. This is how I am addressing this and all elections. I invite this for you too.
